Kelly McCartney

Kelly McCartney (“Ms. Kelly”) is well-known in the South Kitsap community as “Master Rogers” - owner of Tae Ryong Taekwondo School in Port Orchard. Since opening the Taekwondo school four years ago, it has been a community hub for families, with a focus on health and fitness.

Her passion for teaching started at an early age, declaring her desire to be a teacher in third grade! Ms. Kelly went on to hold child care and instructor jobs during college, while pursuing her teaching degree. She worked as a camp counselor, a nanny, and taught preschool at La Petite Academy.

For 12 years, Ms. Kelly taught both elementary and middle public school. In addition, she homeschooled her four children for over ten years. Her extensive and varied experiences in different instructional settings throughout the years contribute to Constantly Growing Learning Center’s positive learning environment. She has chosen to combine her love for the martial arts, her love for education, and her heart for children with a preschool - Constantly Growing Learning Center.

Ms. Jessica

Instructor

Jessica Catalano

Ms. Jessica brings her extensive experience of working with special needs children and adults to Constantly Growing Learning Center. She acquired these skills at an early age, when volunteered and worked within her parent’s non-profit in Upstate New York - Excalibur Leisure Skills Center: a private volunteer, charitable organization dedicated to providing adaptive boating and fishing opportunities for developmentally challenged and disadvantaged persons. This experience has helped to make her a valuable asset in the South Kitsap School district, where she works as a substitute paraeducator for children with special needs.

Ms. Jessica holds three culinary degrees (Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts, and Restaurant Management), and has an Emergency Medical Science certificate. In addition to teaching, she is also a professional chef, cookbook author, and food writer. She is dedicated to yoga practice and is currently working towards her first-degree Taekwondo Black Belt.

Ms. Julia

Instructor

Julia O'Grady ('Miss Julia') is a passionate and hard working mom and educator. While 2023 was her 1st year as a preschool teacher she has an educational background with special needs and elderly. From early babysitting jobs to having college level schooling with early childhood education.

She has a degree in liberal arts through St. Cloud State University. She also obtained her CNA through Olympic college.

Becoming a mom really motivated her in being involved with her children's learning and making the best out of their environment. She offers kids a creative and fun classroom while learning the essentials of becoming wonderful little humans.
